What you can switch on

Features Account Engagement teams have asked for, now within reach

Account Engagement Growth, Plus, Advanced and Premium include Marketing Cloud Next features through permission set licences. All of them run on Data 360.

Segments beyond the CRM

Build audiences in plain language on Data 360, using data from inside and outside Salesforce.

SMS alongside email

Event reminders, renewals and follow-ups by text, without a third-party tool.

Personalisation from related records

Cross-object merge fields and rule-based dynamic content: the product bought, the webinar attended, the open case.

Campaign drafts with Agentforce

A brief, assets and email copy from one prompt. Your marketers review and edit every step.

What it takes to switch on

1

Set up Data 360

Every Marketing Cloud Next feature runs on it, so it is the first thing to enable in your Salesforce org.

2

Connect it to Account Engagement

So both platforms work from the same prospect data.

3

Give access and set a budget

Assign the new features to your team, and agree a credit budget. Use beyond what is included is paid as you go.

Requirements and availability depend on your Salesforce edition and region.

What changes, what stays

In Assess, everything lands in one of three columns

Adding Next does not mean moving Account Engagement. The work is deciding what stays, what you add, and what needs a decision before the first send.

Stays in Account Engagement

  • Engagement programs. Your running nurtures keep going.
  • Forms, form handlers and landing pages.
  • Scoring and grading.
  • The Salesforce sync and your campaigns.

Added from Next

  • Data 360 segments that reach beyond the CRM.
  • SMS as a second channel.
  • Personalisation from related records.
  • Agentforce for campaign drafts.

Decide first

  • Consent. How opt-outs match between the two.
  • Content. Emails and assets can be copied across, but arrive as plain HTML without merge fields or dynamic content. Choose what to copy and what to rebuild.
  • Ownership. Which use case runs where, so nobody is messaged twice.
  • Reporting across both platforms.
  • A credit budget for Data 360, SMS and AI.
Your next step

Two ways to move forward

Take the Account Engagement readiness pack

An independent view, written for Account Engagement teams. It puts consent and cost on the table, and can honestly end in “not yet”.

  • Salesforce’s guidance for Account Engagement, summarised on one page
  • The 60-day adoption process: keep Account Engagement running, prove the foundation, pilot first
  • What to clarify first, and the risks to manage

Pilot partners

Or run the 60-day pilot with us

Marketing Cloud Next is new for most Nordic teams, and local references are few. We would rather build them with you than wait for them.

  • A senior Atcore team, from assessment to decision
  • A defined 60-day scope with a clear decision point: continue, pause or stay
  • Shared, anonymised learnings from the other pilot teams

The questions we hear

What Account Engagement teams ask us

Answers updated as the product evolves. Last updated October 2026.

Account Engagement admin“Do we already own some of it?”+

Probably. Growth, Plus, Advanced and Premium include Marketing Cloud Next features through permission set licences. You need Sales Cloud or Service Cloud Enterprise Edition or higher, and availability depends on region.

Marketing operations“Do our engagement programs and scoring keep working?”+

Yes. Programs, forms, scoring and the Salesforce sync stay in Account Engagement. Next adds to them; it does not replace them.

Demand generation manager“Do we need Data 360 for all of this?”+

For the new features, yes. It comes through Salesforce Foundations with a starting amount of credits. Use beyond that is paid by consumption, so it pays to estimate it first.

CMO“Will Account Engagement be retired?”+

Salesforce has published no end date. New capabilities are being built in Marketing Cloud Next, so connecting Account Engagement to it now keeps your options open without forcing a move.
